Brand new joint produced by yours truly. Word and I went after the ladies on that one!

Ladies & Gentlemen…NU Revolution Entertainment LLC. would like to present Wordsmith in his 1st single, “Hook Up Hotline,” (Produced by Strada) and (Directed by Seannie Cameras) off his debut album “Vintage Experience” dropping in March. “Hook-Up Hotline” is heating up on WCCG-FM, WEUP-FM, WSRV-FM, WNOV-AM, WBTP-FM and more in the coming weeks leading up to the album.

Right before the holiday period, I was sent this book by music entrepreneur Derek Sivers,to read and blog on how it could apply or not to my situation (producer/composer/songwriter).

Well damn it, it helped. Anybody who works in any creative field, painting, music, film, photo… always get these endless thoughts and questions. Is this good enough?, will I be able to live of my art one day?, quit my day job?, should I do more ‘commercial’ work?…. I have these questions constantly. MacLeod doesn’t tell you what to do nor does he have the solution to everything. He gives out his opinion an backs it up with examples that you can relate to.

Nobody can tell you if what you’re doing is good, meaningful or worthwhile. The more compelling the path the more lonely it is.[...]when you finally come up with The Big Idea, after years of toil struggle, and doubt, how do you know werger or not it is “The One”? Answer you don’t

The TIPPING POINT by Malcom Gladwell is a great book I read last year. It explains the phenomenon of word of mouth , social epidemics, viral ideas…. Basically explains how a small trend grows steadily until at one point tips and is adopted by the majority of a certain group.

I work in a hotel and Phillipe (my coworker and lead singer of The Hangers ) has been gone for a few days and as a joke, I twisted a hanger on his locker. The next day my coworker added another one. The next day there was a bunch more and next thing you know the whole concierge/front desk staff was waiting for  Phil to come back.

Made me think about that great book!!!!
